Just recently I unsubscribed from Birch box. This is the second subscription service I have tried and I have noticed that I was losing interest. Don't get me wrong, Birch box has many benefits, including the variety of new and well known brands, the element of surprise (most Birch boxes differ from person to person). However, sometimes you get a great box and sometimes you wish you got products other people got to have. I left Birch box because my luck with getting good products seemed to die down and I didn't want to keep being disappointed.

My other experience was through Myglam. This was my first monthly subscription service and at first, I was super excited. However, I noticed the products I may have liked, had flaws with them. For example, smelly products, item that were breaking out my skin and then items that didn't fill my needs, even though I filled out a survey to help with the selection of items. Since the time I have unsubscribed, the service seems better. However, the items in the glam bags still seem to be items I have no need for. Therefore why I haven't given them another chance.

New Subscription!

Recently I subscribed to Glossy box USA. I was always interested in Glossy box, until I saw the price ($21 a month). I was so used to $10 a month for subscriptions that I completely was not willing to pay the extra $11. Once I saw all the items everyone was getting, I noticed I would be excited about more then half of the items people were receiving. Those items were also bigger sized items than I was getting in my myglam and birch boxes.

Tips when Joining a Monthly Subscription Service

• What items do the services give out? Are they items you would use or buy w/o the service?
• $ Price. Is it something you can afford?
• Sign up for monthly services rather than a year. This lets you try out the service with the freedom of being able to cancel at anytime.
• Are there benefits like a point system or discount when you join the service? Will you use this?
• How is the customer service? Is this service known for helping their customers and doing it in a professional manner.
• Last but not least, Track Record... is this service have a recent good reputation with shipping, customer service and quality of items?
