Colgate Optic White Product Review

 It's time for another review. Influenster was nice enough to send three products from the Colgate Optic White system in their Sugar 'n Spice Voxbox. Before I talk about the individual products, I will say as a whole that I love this brand and love them even more now! I used to use Crest 3D White and I think the Colgate Optic White is better and faster with their results! I'm very happy and will be purchasing more of their products soon.

The Toothpaste

This toothpaste I received in the flavor: Sparkling Mint. When I purchase this product again I will be trying the "Cool Mild Mint". Sparkling Mint is a very strong mint taste and you taste the whiting agent in the product. I'm unsure if this is true with the other flavors. I'm really curious what "Enamel White" tastes like...sounds intense...anyway...

Even though this toothpaste is strong in taste, I wouldn't say it tastes awful. I feel the that is truly whiting my teeth on the spot and if I need to put up with a stronger mint taste for faster results, I'll take it!

 Mouthwash

This whitening mouthwash is a lot like the Crest Whiting mouthwash. These mouth washes seem thicker and I get the impression that these mouthwashes coat your teeth. Because of this I do rinse out my mouth with water after using this product. The taste is again tolerable. Sparkle Fresh Mint is the only flavor as of now and I hope that does change. I don't hate this flavor but I'm sure there could be better mint flavors out there. I do appreciate that this product is alcohol free, so there isn't that burning sensation. But I will say that before a date I will still use Listerine after I use this product. Listerine is known for their burning intense mouthwash, but I say beauty is pain and I will never stop using my Listerine! :P

Toothbrush

This toothbrush I love and I was shocked that this was only a $3 toothbrush! I'm weird and I need those tongue/cheek cleaners on the back of my toothbrush. Usually from Crest those toothbrushes always costs more! Not anymore! 

I like the softness, size and feeling of this product. (that's what she said :P) But in all seriousness, it is a good product. The bristles of the tooth brush all truly effective in removing plague and food particles. As my dentist would say, 'you should still floss'. This tooth brush also claims to have whiting caps (the white plastic cups) that hold toothpaste more effectively to whiting teeth. I'm unsure if that really matters but regardless, it's a good product and is worth checking out. :)

Bath and Body Works Candles Review

I absolutely love Bath and Body Works Candles! When I was growing up I always used Yankee Candles, but once I hit my teens years, I realized I liked more scent from the Bath and Body Works line. Some of my favorite scents are the Fall scents: Leaves, Apple Cider and Autumn I also like the winter scents: Fresh Balsam, Tis the Season, Fireside Marshallow and more. Not to mention that these candles work great on candle warmers because they are wide and short rather than the tall ones from Yankee candle that take forever to melt. 

I got a mini candle in my Beauty Blogger Voxbox from Influenster. It was in Nutmeg and Spice. It isn't in the picture because I accidentally spill the wax in my bathroom. O_O That particular scent wasn't my favorite because it was a bit strong and sometimes overwhelming but I love their candles still. I love how the mini candles are not made of glass and not plastic. That way I can choose to burn them or put them on my candle warmer. 

NYC New York Color IndividualEyes Custom Compact Review

I've have been wondering about the quality of this product for quite some time. If I haven't got this quad in my Influenster's Beauty Blogger Voxbox, I probably wouldn't have tried it. The quad I got was in Dark Shadows. I was more satisfied with pigmentation of the shades than I thought I would be, however, some shades I felt were a bit chalky. The primer and Illuminator was not worth it though. Those shouldn't be included in the palette, just not worth it.

Kiss® Ever PRO Lash Starter Kit Review

This is second brand of false lashes that I've used. Influenster's Beauty Blogger Voxbox include this starter kit which came with a pair of lashes, lash glue and applicator tool. First off the lashes are good quality but I didn't feel they looked as natural as the revlon brand ones I've tried. The glue I also felt wasn't as sticky. I was only super excited and impressed with the application tool.

Not Your Mother's® Kinky Moves™ Curl Defining Hair Cream Review

Some people may be confused about this review but I'll try to explain it as best I can. I heard of this brand before I got this in the Influenster Beauty Blogger Box but I had yet to try one of their items. I have wavy hair but night tight curls, so maybe that's what was wrong with this item. I need weighless products that I can use to scrunch my hair so my natural waves can be empathized. This didn't create more waves however, it left my hair so soft, shiny not to mention it smelled amazing. So I kind of didn't mind so much that it didn't add or keep the waves I had in my hair.

Goody Spin Pin Review

I've always wanted a pair of Goody's Spin Pins, so when I found them in my Beauty Blogger Voxbox, I was so excited! I was wondering if they were a gimmick but I was proven wrong. These pins hold your hair and are quite durable! Read below for pros and cons.

Boots No7 Beautiful Skin Review

Above is an awesome deal. I have never tried Boots No7 but was so happy when I got it in my Beauty Bloggers Voxbox. I've always had sensitive skin so it was always tricky for me to venture out when it came to facial moisturizers. However, I gave the Boots No7 Cleansing Lotion and Night Cream a try, especially when I saw it was hypoallergenic. 

To my surprise the product moisturized extremely well and didn't break me out. The night cream was also very nice. I have tried some anti-age items and they would tighten and hurt my skin, but not with this brand. Love it and plan on buying more from them.

Influenster!

This particular website I think is the best FREE testing a review website out there! As of right now you need to request an invite. Email me if you need one (Calicogirl21@gmail.com), but if you just request an invite I'm unsure how quickly you will be accepted. Recently Influenster had a makeover so it is more visually appealing and you have more chances for badges and ways to heighten you Influenster score. The higher the score, the more likely you could get the next Voxbox (if you have the badge for the given Voxbox).

 Many people have had different experiences with Influenster. Some get a Voxbox (they like to call them) right away. However, some have had to wait longer than others. Connect all your social accounts, write reviews and sign up badges that apply to you and you should be getting a Voxbox in no time!

Badges?
 The badges are little circles with pictures symbolizing your badge name. You should be honest and apply for the badges that apply to your lifestyle. For example: The blogger badge, The cat/dog owner badge, beauty badge, Uni Badge, Mom badge, Newly Wed badge etc. Get the badge and you could receive the Voxbox that goes along with it.

How to Have a Successful Swap!

• What is your relationship with the person: Even if it's someone's first swap, if you're friends it more likely that it will be successful and fun to shop for them. 
•  

Set a Budget: People should understand that you want a even trade. I noticed a budget is usually essential when you don't the person that well.

Safety: Do you feel comfortable giving this person your mailing address? If you have a P.O. box, use it. 

• Confirm when Sent and Received: This will ensure when to expect your swap items and when they should receive theirs. At the post office confirm that you want it sent back to your address if there are any issues.

Track Record: Has this person done swaps before? How was other peoples' experiences?

Monthly Subscriptions....When is it worth it?

Most Recent Birch Box Video

Just recently I unsubscribed from Birch box. This is the second subscription service I have tried and I have noticed that I was losing interest. Don't get me wrong, Birch box has many benefits, including the variety of new and well known brands, the element of surprise (most Birch boxes differ from person to person). However, sometimes you get a great box and sometimes you wish you got products other people got to have. I left Birch box because my luck with getting good products seemed to die down and I didn't want to keep being disappointed.

My other experience was through Myglam. This was my first monthly subscription service and at first, I was super excited. However, I noticed the products I may have liked, had flaws with them. For example, smelly products, item that were breaking out my skin and then items that didn't fill my needs, even though I filled out a survey to help with the selection of items. Since the time I have unsubscribed, the service seems better. However, the items in the glam bags still seem to be items I have no need for. Therefore why I haven't given them another chance.

New Subscription!

Recently I subscribed to Glossy box USA. I was always interested in Glossy box, until I saw the price ($21 a month). I was so used to $10 a month for subscriptions that I completely was not willing to pay the extra $11. Once I saw all the items everyone was getting, I noticed I would be excited about more then half of the items people were receiving. Those items were also bigger sized items than I was getting in my myglam and birch boxes.

Venus & Olay Razor Review

I was so excited to get this in my influenster box. I've always use Venus razors!

I almost love everything about this razor. Unlike the Venus Breeze (remember that one?) you are still able to get a close shave without those moisture bars really getting in the way. It truly moisturizes and it almost last as long as a standard lotion.

The only problem I have with this razor is I have to replace the blazes more frequently than my Venus Embrace one. This is due the moisture bars disappearing. I also shave almost everyday because I hate the feeling when I don't.

Other than that it's a great razor and I'm glade they kept the 5 blades because I really do think it makes a difference.

Quick Take: Get a smooth shave every time, no shaving cream required.

Usage Tips : If you shave everyday, expect to buy refills more frequently than the other models.

The Verdict : Awesome razor for when you need to shave and moisturize quickly!
